This song is about lifelong dreams and desires that don't come to fruition. Over time the desires become so strong that they become more influential inwardly than reality itself. Becoming a Christian midway through my dream life made me question why I had the desires I did. Why did I have these desires if they weren't from God? Maybe they weren't from God but my own desire to be important? This song wrestles with letting go and trying to be honest with myself in the process.
